So it’s starting to look a bit more like I want.  I’ve got my favorite links set up, a few images here and there and a home page.  I’m still working on the background image and I think my first big page will be my top-25 games of all time.  That is a much harder task than it sounds!  It’s tough when comparing old games versus new games.  Do you consider things like the impacts those simpler games had on the industry?  (Yes.)  A lot of nostalgia plays into the decision as well – a “right place, right time” kind of thing.  And, of course, this is according to my preferences.  You’re not going to find a FPS on this list because I just don’t like to play them.  I don’t mind watching Matt play them, but I just suck at it.

I hope to have that up by tomorrow.

Welcome to my obsession!

I have decided to start this site because I have come to embrace that my one passion in life is video games.  I wish it was something a bit more meaningful, but I can’t seem to change that.  So here it is, my new blog devoted to the obsession that I have with video games.

I have a large game collection spanning multiple consoles – Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, XBox Original, XBox 360, XBox One, Playstation Portable (PSP) and PC.  I also have a GCW Zero with ROMs of just about any console game made before the PS One came out.

I can’t wait to share some of my favorite games with you.  If you have any games that you want me to try, just let me know and I’ll check it out!

My favorite genres are puzzle, building and simulation and RPG.  However, I play and enjoy games from all genres and really have a fondness for “hidden gems”.  Expect to see a lot of reviews of those types of games.

My husband shall be a guest blogger as he enjoys games just as much as I do.  Surprisingly, our game preferences don’t really overlap much, so he brings a unique perspective.  I have so much more to say, but I’ll save it for future posts!

Here’s a shirt that a friend got me years ago which just about sums it up:
